Our history

Kelly Maher is our Chief HR Consultant and Founding Director.

With more than 35 years in human resources (HR) and employment relations behind her, Kelly is endlessly fascinated by Australia's evolving employment relations (ER), industrial relations (IR), and work health and safety (WHS) frameworks, and how they continuous reshape the modern employment relationship.

Kelly specialises in integrated HR, ER and WHS solutions for organisations facing deeply complex workplace issues, major change programs, and strategic workforce planning that drives organisational development and design. Her approach is, first and foremost, analytical and practical. She translates legislative principles into practical workplace decisions an employer can actually make in order to move forward, and she is willing to coach and guide leaders through difficult conversations and circumstances most people would rather avoid.

Clients come to Resources for Humans when the issues are complex, the stakes are high, and the answer is not sitting in a template or script.

We work with clients across all Australian states and territories and our clients are mostly Social and Community Services organisations, Not-for-profits, and tertiary education providers.
